The type of salvage, and the quantity of it, usually determines where, or how it is sold.
If the salvage merchandise is from a retail store, and there is a large quantity, it will usually end up in a “liquidation store” which is open to the public. There are national chain stores throughout the United States and Canada. There are regional stores, which may have two to four stores in a small geographic area. There are numerous one-store sites everywhere.
If there are only a few retail items damaged in a claim, they may be offered for sale on my Web site “Salvage Sale” page. Private individuals can purchase retail sales for single, or small quantities.
Commodities, wholesale goods, equipment and others usually find a home in other similar types of industries and/or companies.
Wholesale sales are available to companies interested in “damaged stocks” which become available.
