What is Salvage?

The term salvage comes from the maritime industry, which is to save a ship or its cargo from a wreck or capture from an enemy. Also, to save anything from fire or danger.

That was centuries ago. Today, it is still an act of saving a ship/cargo, but has moved onto land-based economy as well.

Salvage, to our industry, is to save contents from all types of claims for insurance companies.
